About Carrie

healing facilitator | mother | educator

Any variation from the health has a cause, and the cause has a location. It is the business of the osteopath to locate and remove it (the cause), doing away with disease and getting health instead.

– A. T. Still MD, DO

Carrie is a Manual Osteopathic Therapist and Registered Massage Therapist in good standing with the Canadian Massage & Manual Osteopathic Therapist's Association . She is passionate about helping others and discovered this career path once she became a mother and found out how helpful manual therapy was for her family. Between pregnancy aches and pains, going through a miscarriage, and mothering newborn twins, Osteopathy and Craniosacral Therapy provided amazing relief for her and her children. This inspired her to shift her career path in those directions.

Carrie loves spending time with her kids and enjoys hitting up the mountains or a lovely lake for some kayaking. She's constantly continuing her learning with more and more courses to help her practice. You'll often find her connecting with other professionals to help create continuity of care for her clients. When she's not with clients or her kids, you can find her at the Alberta College of Massage Therapy as supportive faculty for up-and-coming Massage Therapists.

As an avid learner, Carrie is often studying. She continues to take courses, especially in Craniosacral Therapy and Visceral Manipulation . She enjoys podcasts like the Huberman Lab and loves reading books that give her a better understanding of the human body, mind, and soul. It excites her when modern scientific findings explain why the treatments that have been around for centuries work. Connecting the energetic body and scientific mind satisfy both right-brain and left-brain thinkers.
